1. Who we are

Eat Binary is a restaurant operating system built and operated by Log Binary ("Eat Binary", "we", "us"). It includes the Admin back office (partner portal), POS, Captain App, Kiosk, Online Ordering storefronts, TV Signage, Gift Cards and Loyalty, together with this website (the "Service").

This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Service, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Restaurants and their customers

Restaurants ("partners") use Eat Binary to run their business. When you order from a restaurant through its Online Ordering site or Kiosk, that restaurant decides what customer information it collects and how it uses it. We process that information on the restaurant's behalf, to provide the Service to them.

If you are a restaurant's customer and have a question about your order history, loyalty points or saved addresses, contact that restaurant first. We will help them respond to your request.

3. Information we collect

Partner accounts and staff

  • Name, email address, contact number and password (stored only as a one-way hash).
  • Restaurant details: business name, address, opening hours, tax and service-fee settings, menus.
  • Employee records, roles and portal access you set up for your staff.
  • Subscription plan, enabled modules and billing history.

Restaurant customers

  • Name, contact number and email used to sign in (by one-time passcode) and place orders.
  • Delivery addresses, order history, favourite items, loyalty points and gift card balances.

Payments

Card and UPI payments are handled by our payment processors (Stripe and Razorpay). We do not store full card numbers. We keep a reference to a saved payment method, such as the card brand and last four digits, and the transaction records a restaurant needs.

Devices and usage

  • Details of the terminals, kiosks, TV screens, printers and card readers you connect, such as device name, type and assigned restaurant.
  • System and security logs, such as sign-in attempts, IP address, timestamps and errors.

When you contact us

If you use the "Book a Demo" or contact form, we collect your name, contact number, email and message.

4. How we use information

  • To provide the Service: take and route orders, print tickets, sync menus and run reports.
  • To verify your identity, including sending one-time passcodes by email or SMS.
  • To process payments, subscriptions and refunds.
  • To answer support requests and demo enquiries.
  • To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and investigate problems.
  • To send service messages such as receipts, OTPs and important account notices.
  • To improve the Service using aggregated information.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only:

  • With the restaurant you are ordering from, or that you work for.
  • With service providers who help us run the Service, including payment processors (Stripe, Razorpay), SMS and email delivery providers (such as Twilio), and our hosting provider. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
  • As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply.

6. Data retention

We keep account information for as long as the account is active. When you delete your account, it is deleted as soon as its email and password are verified.

We may keep some records for longer where the law requires it, such as invoices and tax records, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, one-time passcodes, role-based staff permissions and separate data storage for each restaurant. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think your account has been compromised.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your account and personal information. Partner accounts can use the Delete Account page.
  • Withdraw consent you have given us, such as for marketing messages.

Email support@logbinary.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity first.

9. Cookies and local storage

Our apps use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember settings such as your selected restaurant. This website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and tell partners about significant changes by email or in the Admin portal.
